Never before seen

Every year, the event video will be just a simple slideshow. But on this 52nd College Day, our team decided to spice things up a notch and give our school an event cinematics.

The project has been published on "มั่นใจ เด็กเซนต์คาเบรียล", a Saint Gabriel's College Student Community Facebook page on February 4, 2017. The video astonishingly received over 2,000 reactions with more than 10,000 views in a single week.

Planning ahead

In this project, the shot was planned ahead for a week. As the school also provide rehearsal schedule for this event, we have an opportunity to visualise our shots in our head as well.

Challenges accepted

Although planning has been done, there's still a lot of pressure working on the shooting day. Just like any events, teams of photographers flooded the scene, so acquiring good shots is somewhat hard, but after a bit of patience and communication, I acquired most of the planned shots. Communication is also a major challenge as you work in-field, in a noisy environment. We need to swap cameras due to memory full, overheated cameras, or exhausted videographer; but all were dealt successfully one way or another.
